Atlanta Business Chronicle

Welcome to Atlanta Business Chronicle’s annual special section profiling Atlanta’s 100 most influential people, as selected by the Chronicle’s editors.

The list contains many familiar names, but also some new ones: There’s Virginia Hepner, who last year was named head of the Woodruff Arts Center. There’s mobile tech CEO Alan Dabbiere, whose company is creating hundreds of jobs in town. There’s Steve Green, 2013 chair of the Georgia Chamber of Commerce, and Nancy Oswald, 2013 chair of the Atlanta Convention & Visitors Bureau. There’s also John Wilson, who in January became president of Morehouse College. We added Keith Parker, the new general manager of MARTA. In addition there’s Rich McKay and Frank Poe, who are among those leading the efforts to build a new Atlanta Falcons stadium.

As in years past, the list does not include media celebrities, pop stars, athletes or religious leaders.

Of course, on a list limited to 100 people, many influential and important leaders cannot be included.

We hope you will find this year’s list thought-provoking and informative.
