World’s First Commercial Spaceline Partners with Intimate Local Hotel to Create Immersive New Mexico Experiences for Future Astronauts and Guests
TRUTH OR CONSEQUENCES, N.M. – Oct. 6, 2014 – Virgin Galactic, the privately-funded space company owned by Sir Richard Branson’s Virgin Group and Abu Dhabi’s aabar Investments PJS, announced today that it has partnered with Ted Turner’s Sierra Grande Lodge and Spa as it continues to expand its New Mexico accommodation options for Future Astronauts and their families. The Sierra County partnership complements the hospitality partnership in Dona Ana County with Hotel Encanto de Las Cruces.

The Sierra Grande Lodge and Spa was purchased by Ted Turner in 2013 and is well known for its combination of luxurious accommodations, rustic charm and relaxing spa and natural hot springs. The Lodge is also a launching point for visitors to New Mexico to discover the area’s exciting recreational, eco-tourism and artistic opportunities including ancient hot springs, hunting and fishing, hiking, boating, bird watching, historic ghost towns, fine art galleries and world class golf.
