Turner Enterprises provided financial support to the Sandhills 4H Leadership & Entrepreneurship program, which aims to educate students on rural revitalization issues and instill personal leadership and entrepreneurial skills. With increased funding, the program – which previously targeted high school students – is able to also incorporate students in elementary and middle grades, ultimately furthering its reach and impact. Working with youth as they progress from elementary to high school will allow them the potential to develop essential leadership skills and hands on business experience over time, and will ultimately foster stronger relationships between all involved (especially between community leaders/business owners and youth).
