Last year, the Turner Foundation – through its Turner Community Youth Development Initiative (TCYDI) – provided funding to the Cimarron Library’s summer reading program for children in Cimarron, NM (located near Vermejo Park Ranch, a Turner-owned property). With this funding, the Library purchased backpacks filled with school supplies to present to each child who participated in the summer reading program. In addition, the children helped build five benches in the community’s village park with the funds from TCYDI.
